Lose the weight by changing how you live. One walk at a time.

HealthBuddy 365 is a one-on-one lifestyle modification program. We walk together, we work through a simple ten-part curriculum, and you build habits you can keep for the rest of your life. It's not a diet.

What HealthBuddy 365 is, in one walk.

Narrated explainer. Sound on.

What it is

Not a diet. A new default.

Diets end. That's the problem with them. HealthBuddy 365 is built on what actually kept the weight off for me: food I enjoy that fits my numbers, water, a kitchen scale, daily walking, and a few honest rules about what counts as food. We cover all of it, in order, on foot.

🚶

Walk

Every session is a walk of roughly an hour. Every time I truly lost weight I was walking 10,000 steps a day. We start building that habit in session one.

📚

Learn

Each walk covers one module of the HealthBuddy curriculum: calorie deficit, macros, real food, water, weighing your food, eating out, and more.

📱

Track

Between sessions you log meals, water and weight in the CalSnap app. We review it together so the plan is based on what you really eat, not what you think you eat.

How it works

Five sessions to build the foundation.

The minimum commitment is five sessions, because that's how long it takes to get through the hard part, see the scale move, and have the core habits in place. Most people keep going after that, but the first five are where the change happens.

Take the fit survey

Five minutes. It tells both of us whether this program suits where you are right now. I'm only taking on one new client at a time, so I'd rather be honest up front.

We talk

If it looks like a fit I'll reach out, answer your questions, and we set your first session. You'll want a check-in with your family doctor before we start.

Walk and learn, weekdays 12 to 3 PM

Sessions are in person, Monday to Friday, somewhere between noon and 3 PM. We walk for about an hour, go through one curriculum module, look at your CalSnap log, and set one focus for the week.

Live it between sessions

You log your food, drink your water, cook your meals, and get your steps in. I'm a message away when the day-three cravings hit or the restaurant menu looks tempting.

Keep what works

After five sessions you have a way of eating you actually like, a walking habit, and the numbers to prove it. Continue session by session as long as it helps.

The curriculum

Ten modules. No magic, no products to buy.

This is the HealthBuddy system from the CalSnap app: the exact things I changed, in the order that worked. We cover one or two per walk.

1

My Journey

Overweight my whole life, pre-diabetic at a routine physical, and the moment that changed it.

2

Let's Get Educated

Log everything you eat for a few days before changing anything. Find out where your sugar, salt and protein really are.

3

Build Your New Diet

A plan made of foods you love that fit your numbers, bulk meal prep, and dinner decided before the day starts.

4

Real Food

Least processed wins. How to read an ingredient list and why high-calorie real food is fine.

5

The Calorie Deficit

Losing weight is math. Setting your target, and getting through the rough first three to five days.

6

Water, Water, Water

Hungry or just thirsty? The most underrated part of losing weight, and the end of sugary drinks.

7

Weigh It

A kitchen scale on the counter. Why "one tablespoon" is the reason the scale stopped moving.

8

Food or Entertainment?

The three-question test, and why most of the supermarket is built for profit, not your health.

9

Going Against the Grain

Restaurants, family dinners and celebrations. Keep the people, change what you do with the food.

10

Add Some Walking

Diet alone meant maintaining. Diet plus 10,000 steps is when the weight came off. Every time.

Why do this

Why it works when diets didn't.

You already know roughly what to do. The gap is doing it, every day, when nobody's watching. That's what the walks are for.

  • Accountability you can't skip. A standing walk with another person is harder to blow off than an app notification.
  • Built from food you enjoy. If you like what you eat, you keep eating it. That's why past diets fell apart and this didn't.
  • Based on your real numbers. We work from your actual food log, your weight trend, your water. Not a template.
  • Nothing to buy. No supplements, no shakes, no meal boxes. Cooking this way is cheaper than what you spend now.
  • Someone who's done it. I've been where you are and I've stayed on the other side for more than five years.
  • Walking is the multiplier. Easy on the body, good for glucose and sleep, and time spent walking is time not snacking.
"Diet alone, I maintained. Diet plus walking, I lost. Every single time. I don't know the science behind it, but I know what I observed, consistently."— Jason, Module 10
"The first three to five days are hard. Headaches, cravings, waking up hungry. Then it passes, and the other side feels amazing. Getting over that hump is why having someone beside you matters."— Jason, Module 5
Who it's for

A good fit, and an honest no.

✅ This is for you if

  • You want to lose weight for good, not for an event.
  • You've tried diets and watched the weight come back.
  • You can walk comfortably for 45 to 60 minutes.
  • You're free on weekdays between noon and 3 PM.
  • You're willing to log your food honestly in an app.
  • You're open to cooking most of your meals at home.
  • You want someone to walk beside you, literally.

❌ Probably not, if

  • You're looking for a quick fix or a 30-day cleanse.
  • You want a meal plan handed to you and nothing else.
  • You can't fit a weekday midday walk into your schedule.
  • You're not willing to cut back on sugary drinks and takeout.
  • You need medical weight management. Please see your doctor first; this program isn't a substitute.

Not sure? The survey takes five minutes and gives you a straight answer either way.

About Jason

I'm not a doctor. I'm someone who did it.

For most of my life I was in the overweight category. During COVID I stopped moving, ate more, and crossed into obese. A routine physical came back with pre-diabetic glucose and other numbers that were too high. My doctor said it wasn't too late, and that lifestyle changes could reverse all of it.

That appointment is where this started. I've since lost close to fifty pounds and kept it off for more than five years, with no crash diet and no bounce back. Along the way I built the CalSnap app and the HealthBuddy curriculum to document exactly what I changed and what worked.

HealthBuddy 365 is the in-person version: the curriculum, the app, and me walking beside you while you do it.

I'm not a doctor, dietitian or trainer, and nothing here is medical advice. Please talk to your family doctor before changing your diet or activity.

Pricing

Simple pricing. Serious commitment.

One rate, no packages, no upsells. The five-session minimum is deliberate: it's what it takes to get through the hard part and lock in the habits.

  • One curriculum module per session
